Job Description: Remote Controls Engineer (Intermediate Level)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. Our company specializes in designing and building custom material handling solutions for diverse industries, including food and pharmaceuticals. This role is remote with regular travel (approximately 25%) to client sites for installation, testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and implement PLC and HMI systems, ensuring seamless operation and integration.
• Develop electrical designs and schematics using EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical to meet customer specifications.
• Work with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation technologies to deliver high-quality control solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug control systems both remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and project engineers, to develop innovative solutions.
• Provide support during installation, commissioning, and testing phases to ensure project success.
• Conduct site visits for equipment evaluation, installation oversight, and client training.
• Maintain thorough documentation of control systems, including drawings, programs, and testing procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell platforms.
• Proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical for electrical design and documentation.
• Strong understanding of control panel design, wiring diagrams, and industrial automation.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to client locations for project support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
