Position Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Athens, TN

Duration: 18-Month Contract, Potential to be brought on permanently upon the 18-month mark!

Compensation: $40-43/Hour


About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Process Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related field, and have strong proficiency in AutoCAD. This position requires experience in creating process control documentation, managing equipment installations, and working on fully- or semi-automated manufacturing lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead new product introductions, including process design, equipment specification, supplier coordination, and transition to mass production.
  • Manage multiple projects across various production lines, ensuring productivity and safety.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Support both automated and manual assembly lines.
  • Coordinate equipment installation and machine setup.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality, and Production, to enhance manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, and manpower efficiency.
  • Utilize problem-solving methods like Six Sigma and PDCA to drive continuous improvement.
  • Focus on automation and innovation to meet customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Support the department’s strategic goals and budget planning.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4-7 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience troubleshooting or working with robotics or automated machinery.
  • Experience in creating process control documentation and handling equipment installations.
  • Experience working on fully- or semi-automated manufacturing lines.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong project leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Technical expertise in AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
