A prominent Automotive supplier in the Metro Detroit area is in search of a Production Supervisor to join their team.

Production Responsibilities:

• Analyze and adjust manufacturing processes with the objective to maintain workflow and maximize production rates.
• Evaluate and schedule the use of company resources to meet production targets.
• Communicate job expectations to all personnel.
• Monitor manufacturing data to detect trends and provide information for improving throughput, reducing scrap and ensuring quality requirements.

Personnel Responsibilities:

• Provide direct input on hiring, evaluating, disciplining and terminating direct labor staff.
• Ensure that all new hires are properly trained.
• Enforce company rules to promote a safe workplace environment.

Other Items:

• Monitor and adjust the preventative maintenance schedule to maximize long term equipment performance.
• Provide troubleshooting analysis for equipment repairs and work with the maintenance department to correct all issues.
• Promote and encourage efforts toward a clean and organized workplace.

Production Supervisor Minimum Requirements:

• 4+ years of progressive experience in a leadership role at a manufacturing facility
• Production scheduling experience preferred
• Previous experience in 5S, Six-Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing preferred
