JDC Public Job Post: Operations Coordinator

JDC has an exciting opportunity for an operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As an Operations Coordinator of the Entwine Department, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to optimize efficiency and productivity across the department by analyzing, developing, and implementing organizational processes. A key liaison between Entwine units and other JDC departments, the Operations Coordinator will facilitate cross-departmental communication and enhance operational workflows.

Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring the digital organization of shared drives, contributing to overall operational efficiency. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities will be essential in collaborating with diverse teams and resolving any challenges that arise.

What will you do as Operations Coordinator?

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to analyze existing administrative and project-based processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of streamlined systems for various operational activities,
  • Act as a liaison between Entwine and JDC departments such as Legal, Accounting, and HR to ensure alignment on operational processes, contract management, and vendor relations.
  • Assist in the maintenance and periodic update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across Entwine to ensure they reflect current practices and are easily accessible.
  • Support project coordination using project management software (e.g. Asana, Clickup, Monday.com, Basecamp), tracking progress and ensuring successful execution of tasks.
  • Help maintain digital cleanliness by organizing and managing shared drive structures and files to ensure efficiency and accessibility.
  • Provide ongoing support to staff on utilizing implemented systems and processes, including any new tools or templates introduced for operational improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support budget creation and tracking.
  • Take ownership of the contract creation process by working closely with JDC Legal and Entwine units to lead the development of accurate and comprehensive contracts.

Secondary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of JDC Entwine’s mission and the broader goals of the department to provide high-level support.
  • Stay informed on relevant trends and issues within the young adult engagement space.
  • Travel 2-3 times per year as needed; potential opportunity to staff international trips.
  • Manage communications with internal JDC stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, and IT.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned to meet the operational needs of the department.


What qualifications are required to be our Operations Coordinator?

  • Prior professional experience in operations, project coordination, or a similar administrative role; ideal for a professional ready to step up from entry-level into an intermediate position.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g. Asana, Clickup, Monday.com, Basecamp) and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge)
  • Familiarity with budgets and experience with expense reports and vendor management.
  • Experience reading or editing contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal comprehension and notetaking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in providing cross-departmental support and collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid (on-site and remote) environment.
  • Ability to read words and numbers.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate in person or over the telephone.


Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience partnering with Legal professionals on contract creation or in paralegal work.
  • Passion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Details

  • Employment Type: Full time
  • Hours: 35 hours/week, 8:45 AM – 4:45PM with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Location: Hybrid from New York, NY in office Tuesdays and Thursdays/Remote on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from home
  • Reports to: Operations Manager
  • Job Function/Department: Entwine
  • Other: Ability to travel in the US and internationally 2-3 times per year

What are the compensation and benefits for the Operations Coordinator?

This is a full-time position paid semi-monthly at a 60,000-70,000 annual salary. In determining where a candidate falls in that range JDC considers several factors, including skills and experience, internal equity, and cost of living in location of work. This role is non-exempt per the FLSA.
