Job Description

The Shipping Coordinator will execute and manage the day-to-day shipping and receiving functions — both domestically and internationally — of Centranz. They will be responsible for processing documentation required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection for entry of goods into the U.S. on behalf of importers and providing excellent customer service through clear communication from origin to destination.


In addition, they will be a member of the team responsible for picking items for sales orders and shop orders. From there, these items will be properly packaged and delivered. Attention to detail and the ability to work as a team is critical.


Responsibilities:

- Classify goods based on tariff codes and product descriptions to ensure compliance with U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).

- Maintain and keep current all customs compliance documentation.

- Review and monitor all customs rejections, requests for information, and other correspondence.

- Work closely with other departments to deliver a high level of customer service.

- Handle pending orders throughout the order cycle from accurate order activation to shipment.

- Check-in inbound packages and LTL shipments, ensuring they are done timely and accurately.

- Fill service department work orders and additional parts on demand.

- Utilize Fishbowl ERP to process orders and shipments and manage inventory.

- Pack and ship properly for both international and domestic shipping, including small pack and LTL.


Qualifications:

- Practical knowledge of INCO terms, customs regulations and other government agency requirements.

- Familiarity with MCA forms.

- Experience with ERP systems is preferred.

- Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to efficiently solve problems.

- Must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 lbs and move up and down ladders with this weight.


Pay:

- Starting from $24 per hour, based on skills and experience.
