Job Description:
This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members, consultants and managed service providers to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Coordinator also supports day-to-day management of IT budget and requisitions as needed. This role involves developing requirements, as-is, and future state process flows, and project documentation. The IT Project Manager is hands-on role and will support the Technology Services team in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Serve as a back-up to Senior IT Management Analyst responsible for day-to-day management of IT budget and requisitions.
- Execute other projects as assigned by the Manager.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Four years of proven working experience in project management or a similar role.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, IT infrastructure and software development is a plus.
