Apex Systems is looking to fill an Infrastructure Engineer position with a large client of ours out of Miramar, FL. The hiring manager needs someone with experience implementing and installing infrastructure hardware and devices in newly constructed buildings. Contract Rate: 50-55/hr on W2 – Depending on the candidate
Salary Conversion Rate : 100K
Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Location : Miramar, FL
Travel : national and international – ~25% of the time (Mexico, Bahamas, Caribbean, etc.)

Description:
This role will provide project oversight and guidance on the technical, construction and design aspects of IT related infrastructure as it relates to construction projects. The person will be responsible for the delivery of IT Infrastructure and will ensure that all parties follow proper design principles, code requirements, and Standards to guarantee the operation, performance, and usability of chosen technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to make certain infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent departmental activities.
- Direct and supervise a contingent of engineers and technicians during the deployment phase of projects.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Exceptional knowledge of the physical layer including cabling plant systems, and data related power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
- Experience in working with complex infrastructure designs and with organizing, planning, and executing architectural projects.
- Excellent knowledge of current pertinent industry standards and codes (TIA/EIA, IEEE, etc.).
- Ability to work with construction prints, CAD, Revit, PDF Editors and related drawings, files and documents.
- Experience in working/leading large projects involving multiple departments, business representatives, stakeholders, contractors and others.
- Knowledge and understanding of IT systems, flow charts, data concepts, and telecommunications principles.
- Working knowledge of IP reliant systems that are part of modern construction projects, including but not limited to, Audio Visual, Physical Security (CCTV and Card Access),
- Wireless (WiFi, DAS, PtP, Satellite), Building Automation.
