Job Title: Traveling Superintendent – West Texas

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join their team and oversee ground-up projects across West Texas . This role requires a Superintendent who is comfortable traveling to project sites or relocating to the Midland-Odessa area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of ground-up construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
- Coordinate and manage all subcontractors, suppliers, and site crews.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on progress and addressing concerns.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA regulations and company safety standards (OSHA 30 required).
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and schedules.
- Lead weekly site meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Enforce quality control standards to ensure the project meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Manage equipment, materials, and logistics to optimize project efficiency.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with environmental standards.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects .
- Experience in sectors such as education, government, industrial, and justice is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple trades and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and industry standards.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- Willingness to travel throughout West Texas or relocate to the Midland-Odessa area.
- Candidates with solely residential or multi-family experience will not be considered.
