Pingree School seeks an accomplished and enthusiastic world language instructor to teach two sections of French during the 2024-2025 school year, from mid-February through mid- April. This is a medical leave coverage position. In addition to teaching two sections, responsibilities include submitting student grades and comments at the midpoint and end of the term, contributing to student review meetings, and participating in language department meetings.


Language instruction at Pingree focuses on building students' proficiency and confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the target language. The successful candidate will be fluent in French and will have experience with and a passion for teaching in the target language at multiple levels in a secondary school. Experience or ability to teach advanced levels would be an added strength. Pingree seeks candidates who value creativity, innovation, and the use of technology in the classroom. Additionally, interested candidates should be committed to working collaboratively in a dynamic and collegial department.
