Our 5-star, family-owned Skilled Nursing Center is looking for a Nursing Home Operations Manager to assist the Nursing Home Administrator in effectively operating our 70-bed facility with the support of an adjacent full-service campus and a readily accessible Home Office resource team.   • Full time, includes a weekend and holiday rotation.
  • This position is at the Bethlehem Campus (4011 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem PA 18020).

Nursing Home Operations Manager responsibilities:

  • Assists in directing the daily operations of the skilled nursing facility.
  • Aides in directing the activities of various departments of the skilled nursing facility.
  • Participates in the skilled nursing facility’s QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement) process under the direction of the Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director.
  • Responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment and establishing working relationships with patients, residents, and their families as well as with the surrounding community to promote positive relations.
  • Act as a point of contact for resident and family concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues, or escalating them to the Administrator/Executive Director when necessary.
  • Implements and assures adherence to the organization’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
  • Monitor, review and approve payroll of assigned coworkers.
  • Ensure staffing schedules meet required ratios and remain in line with the approved staffing patterns.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving patient/resident well-being, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care quality and resident satisfaction.
  • Engage in staff development by assisting in the orientation and ongoing training of new coworkers, and promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director.


Nursing Home Operations Manager qualifications:

  • College degree in business, healthcare management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisor/management experience in related field required. Supervisory experience in a skilled nursing setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong executive-level skillset, including: Customer service focus and application; Leadership abilities; Well-developed decision-making skills; Problem-solving & conflict management; Team development; Effective communication; Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Flexibility in Work Schedule: Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director.
