About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff. Your primary role will be to assist with patient exams, take vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records. You will also be responsible for preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring that all medical supplies are stocked and organized. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.
Opportunities available at our Crystal, Maple Grove, Osseo and Plymouth clinic locations with the ability to work 4-10 hour days or 5 days per week
$1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS: When hired as an CMA, you are eligible for a $1,500 tiered Sign-On Bonus! Bonuses will be paid in three installments. All signing bonuses will be treated as regular income and subject to all applicable taxes.
The hourly range for this position is $19.50 - $26.50. Pay is based on years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Rooming patients, record vital signs, and assisting in the float station
Administering injections, phlebotomy draws and performing EKGs
Communicate with patients and patient’s family to provide advice, patient education forms and ensure completion of appropriate patient forms
Document in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments
Complies with procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards
Travel to other clinic locations as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Current Medical Assistant certification by AAMA/AMT or RMA credential required
CPR Certification, required within one month of employment
Reliable and motivated team player who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with a variety of patients, staff, and physicians
Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks
Work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrate commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion
