Qualifications - External

*Here’s What You Need*
* Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Occupational Therapy program is required
* No experience required
* 1 year of acute care experience is strongly preferred.
* OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire is required And
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

*What You Will Do*
* Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
* Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
* Performs age appropriate patient treatment
* Demonstrates Professional accountability
* As required, participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures.
* Performs Appropriate Documentation
* Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and otherapplicable regulatory guidelines
* Documents and reports unusual occurrences, on the job injuries, and medical device malfunctioning
* Participates in strategies to meet business initiatives and unit/team, program, and department specific goals and targets.
