We are seeking a Florida-licensed Nurse Practitioner with experience in Level 2 NICU and Newborn Nursery for a locum position in Central Florida. The position offers flexible scheduling with a commitment of 4-6 shifts per month.
Details/Requirements:
EMR System: SCM EMR
Shift Schedule: 8 AM - 8 AM (in-house, restricted)
Shift Structure: 24 hours on, 24 hours off, 24 hours on again (no back-to-back shifts)
Newborn Nursery: 25-27 babies per day
NICU: 8-10 babies per day
Responsibilities:
Independently manage newborn nursery babies during the day (Neonatologist handles NICU care)
Respond to emergencies in both the newborn nursery and NICU during the night, with a Neonatologist on call from home within 30 minutes of the hospital.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Florida License (active and in good standing)
Proven track record with a company providing positive feedback
Ability to perform the following independently: Thoracentesis and/or Chest Tube Placement (including removal), Endotracheal Intubation, Umbilical Artery or Vein Catheterization
