About the Opportunity:
- Shift: 9-hour day shifts or 10-hour night shifts (main need is days)
- Schedule: Flexible; 6-8 shifts per month or weekend availability
- Setting: Level 2 Trauma Center with approximately 65,000 patient visits annually
- Support: Physician Assistant backup available
- Telehealth Experience: Not required
Responsibilities:
The Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for:
- Providing expert care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Managing trauma and other acute cases in a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including PAs, to ensure quality care
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Adhering to all clinical and operational standards
Qualifications:
- MD degree
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
- 100% clean file required
- Demonstrated experience in a high-acuity emergency setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or similar setting
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
