A recognized health services network in Texas is currently seeking a licensed Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team in Texarkana and provide high-quality emergency care in a Level IV Trauma Center.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 6+ months
- Shifts: Days or Nights
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: Emergency Department (with 10 beds)
- Patient Volume: approx. 28 patients per day
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries
- Collaborating with hospital staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Documenting patient encounters accurately in EPIC
- Managing critical care and stabilization for admitted patients
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM)
- Completed EM or FM residency training
- Active and unrestricted state medical license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proficiency in EMR systems
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience in similar Emergency settings
- Working knowledge of EPIC
