The Scientific Communications & Publications Professional will contribute to development and implementation of scientific communications activities, execution of high-quality publications, and production of high-quality written/digital materials that support engagement with external audiences.
Principal Responsibilities Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Development of individual publication tactics (i.e., manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and plain language summaries)
- Consideration of innovative ways to present data
- Support medical social media channel(s), including development of content calendars and execution of content
- Contribute to the development of scientific content and execution for congress medical communication activities (e.g., medical booth and MSL materials)
- Assessment of products, competitors, and therapeutic landscape and analysis of data and information gaps
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in medical communications, including publications and non-publications deliverables
- Strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize projects
- Advanced computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with medical content management systems (e.g., Datavision, Veeva) and biomedical reference databases (e.g., PubMed, Ovid Medline) preferred
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability and confidence to develop and maintain strong working relationships, and willingness/ability to discuss science and strategy with stakeholders at all levels
Education:
- Advanced degree (MS, MPH in life sciences or PharmD, PhD) required
