Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Database Developer/Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database systems, ensuring their functionality, performance, and scalability. This individual will contribute to multiple projects while collaborating with various teams, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain database systems, focusing on design, functionality, performance, and security.
• Create and manage ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Develop and optimize SQL and T-SQL queries for large-scale, multi-terabyte databases.
• Create and maintain reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Troubleshoot performance and database-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and resolving problems.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional groups to design, implement, and optimize database systems and processes.
• Apply knowledge of relational databases, tables, keys, indexes, and other database concepts to ensure efficient and scalable systems.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), adhering to best practices and process guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in database development and Microsoft tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or newer), T-SQL, and SSIS.
• Experience with creating and managing ETL processes, including data flows, imports/exports, and parallel processing.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining reports using SSRS, including drill-down features, graphs, and parameterization.
• Familiarity with relational database design, including tables, keys, and indexing.
• Experience working in an AGILE software development environment.
• Familiarity with Snowflake cloud data warehouse and Sigma Computing analytics platform is a plus.
• Working knowledge of database projects, MS-ISPACs, and DACPACs is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of C# or similar programming languages is a plus.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
• Proficiency in using work management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex database issues and implementing effective solutions.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or, at least 6 years of equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Developer/Engineer.
• Experience in an AGILE environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
