We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience in managing and building small teams. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who excels at formulating and executing plans to drive sales growth through distribution channels.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategize Nationwide Expansion: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to grow our market presence across the U.S., focusing on selling through distribution.
- Build and Lead Teams: Recruit, train, and manage a small team of sales professionals, including direct hires and manufacturer representatives, to execute your plan effectively.
- Develop Key Relationships: Strengthen partnerships with distributors and build strong connections with engineers, contractors, and supply houses.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with our technical and logistical teams to ensure seamless support for your team and customers.
- Analyze Market Trends: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies as needed.
- Set and Track Goals: Establish clear objectives for your team, monitor progress, and adjust plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
What You Bring:
Required:
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience managing and building small sales teams, ideally in the waterworks, construction, or related industries.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of direct hires and independent representatives.
- Relationship Building: A track record of building lasting relationships with distributors and end-users.
- Results-Oriented: Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering on ambitious sales targets.
- Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and persuasive communicator, able to connect with diverse audiences.
- Adaptability: Ability to navigate and adjust to changing market conditions.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with waterworks products or the municipal industry.
- Experience working with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Established relationships within distribution networks.
