The Plastic Welder specializes in joining and repairing plastic components using heat and pressure working with hand-welding machinery. Responsibilities encompass reading blueprints, selecting appropriate welding equipment, and ensuring high-quality, durable welds.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Plastic welding according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment to ensure efficient and effective performance.
- Inspect and examine welds to ensure that they meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine welding requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and coordinate welding projects.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure its longevity and optimal performance.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in plastic welding techniques, equipment, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise and accurate welding
- Attention to detail and quality control to ensure finished products meet standards.
- Flexibility to work in various environments and with different types of plastics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other welders and supervisors.
- Good math skills
- Experience using grinders, saws all, drills and Dremel tools.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
