Job Title: Operations Manager, Ophthalmology - Texas


Location: Texas (Travel Required Between Offices)

Reports To: Regional Director of Operations


OPHTHALMOLOGY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE


Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of 6 ophthalmology offices and 17 providers across Texas. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in healthcare operations, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to ensure efficient practice management while delivering excellent patient care.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee daily operations across six offices, ensuring consistency in processes and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow, increase efficiency, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Manage provider schedules to ensure optimal utilization and timely patient care.


Team Management:

  • Supervise and support administrative and clinical staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment to drive staff engagement and retention.


  • Financial Oversight:
  • Monitor budgets, control expenses, and analyze financial performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities and implement cost-saving measures.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all offices adhere to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care.


Patient Experience:

  • Address patient concerns and ensure resolution to maintain a positive patient experience.
  • Promote patient satisfaction initiatives and ensure timely follow-up on feedback.


Operational Reporting:

  • Provide regular reports on key operational metrics to senior leadership.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement within the practices.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience: 3+ years in a healthcare operations management role, preferably within ophthalmology or a multi-site healthcare organization.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in practice management systems and EMR software.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards in healthcare, including HIPAA.
