The client is a utility scale developer led by a team with over a decade of experience building utility scale projects.

They have a robust pipeline of projects in development and looking for a talented Director of Project Finance to report to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee comprehensive financial models and analyses for major projects, including cash flow projections, ROI calculations, and risk assessments
• Lead the evaluation of project financing options, including debt structures, tax equity, and other funding structures
• Establish and maintain relationships with key financial partners, including banks, investors, and other financial institutions
• Oversee due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, tax, and accounting teams on project-related matters
• Direct the development of project budgets and monitor actual performance against forecasts, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Present financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making
• Build a team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of project finance experience with a demonstrated ability to close transactions
• Experience with complex debt and equity financing structures
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities

Candidate is preferably based in Los Angeles or San Francisco. However, remote candidates will be considered as well.
