Primary Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the tax department and firm members
- Assist with tax return assembly and processing, including organizing and cleanup of client documents electronically and manually
- Organize, scan and process tax-related paperwork efficiently
- Manage the scan and auto flow process for client documents
- Typing and assembly of financial statements
- Assist with year-end mailings, including organizers
- Preparation of engagement letters, correspondence and other documents
- Manage the portal for incoming client documents
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisors
- Process FedEx, UPS, and Certified Mail
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including lunch orders and set up/clean up
- Serve as a backup to the Front Desk (answering phones, greeting visitors, mail, etc.) when needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of prior office experience required
- Public Accounting experience preferred
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat / PFD Flyer
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excessive attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Deadline-Oriented: Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the business
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues as needed
- Capable of maintaining absolute confidentiality in regard to client and firm records and information
- Familiarity with tax terminology and procedures is desirable, but not required
