Accounting Manager Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage month-end close cycles ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Handle financial report preparations.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform asset tracking and depreciation calculations.
• Handle quarterly payroll tax reporting and assist with payroll audit.
• Support contract administration functions.
• Collaborate with external firm for annual audit preparations.

Accounting Manager Qualifications

• 3+ year of full-cycle accounting experience within construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of month end processes, GL functions, and payroll tax reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Deadline-driven with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to union-worker environment and/or asset tracking a plus.
