Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Target Starting Salary: $100,000-$120,000 per year

Schedule: On-Site, Mon-Fri

Summary: The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for using Solidworks to design automated/robotics machinery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides technical support and training to Sales representatives and customers on all robotic products
2. Utilizes Solidworks to create drawings and schematics for robotic systems
3. Utilizes robotic system software (HRSIM) to simulate robotic systems and develop applications
4. Builds and tests the robotic system's individual parts or the system as a whole, including articulated arm robots, grippers/end effectors, machine vision, electronic control systems, and application software
5. Performs feasibility analysis and lab testing of customer applications, supports prototype development and troubleshooting
6. Performs research and development for feasibility, design, and operation of robotic mechanisms, components or systems, and next-generation improvements

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
2. Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred
3. Previous robotics, automation, and mechatronics design experience required
4. Familiar with office programs such as: MS Office, MS Project, ERP, and CRM
