The Encompass Group is partnering with a reputable construction contractor who is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join the accounting & finance team. This role will oversee all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, customer account management, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, knowledge of lien waivers and payment processes, and exceptional organizational skills to ensure the company maintains a healthy cash flow.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including setting up and maintaining customers & jobs in JONAS, generating and sending out invoices, monitoring payment statuses, and reconciling accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing, including progress billing, milestone-based billing, and change orders in alignment with contracts.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the preparation and management of lien waivers, release forms, and compliance with state-specific construction payment laws.
• Prepare detailed AR Aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and monthly financial summaries for management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 5 years in accounts receivable management, with at least 2 years in the construction industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, progress billing, retainage, and lien laws.
