Our client is a 100% employee owned, Research Corporation . They are seeking Senior and Advanced Software Engineers to create cutting edge software and cloud computing solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. Engineers will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers. Engineers are encouraged to propose things that you believe will improve the applications and frameworks you’re working in.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing real-time cloud processing solutions, implementing advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software, testing with real data, and providing applications to front-line customer facilities.
• Create effective user interfaces and data visualization tools. You also will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentor others engineers to grow in their technical abilities. Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
• Expect to work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, and experience the direct mission feedback from the customer and seeing your project provide real-world contributions that make a significant difference.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
• Proficient in C++ and Python for engineering and scientific applications in LINUX environments.
• Experience providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team member and mentoring other engineers to grow in their technical abilities
• Demonstrated ability to design the architecture of software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirement
• Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• MUST POSSESS TS/SCI security clearance
• DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)Agile development processes and leadership
