ESC has an existing direct hire opportunity for a Strategic Supply Chain Analyst to join our Computer business team. In this role, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations and driving cost reduction initiatives. As an integral member of our team, you will leverage data analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities for cost savings while ensuring operational excellence and maintaining quality standards. This position offers a hybrid 1st shift schedule, Monday - Friday, based in Waukesha, WI .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost Reduction Strategies:
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to reduce waste and optimize resources.
Supplier Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and identify opportunities for consolidation or alternative sourcing.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain data to track costs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on cost-saving initiatives, performance metrics, and improvement opportunities to senior management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the Dedicated Computing Supplier Pyramid process to ensure we have the best balance of strategic and key suppliers to support the business strategy
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, operations, finance, and manufacturing, to align cost-reduction strategies with organizational goals.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of changes without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Market Research & Benchmarking:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness.
- Benchmark current supply chain processes against industry standards to identify gaps and opportunities.
Risk Mitigation:
- Assess risks associated with supply chain disruptions, cost fluctuations, and supplier dependencies.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential risks while maintaining cost efficiency.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations with a strong emphasis on cost reduction and process optimization within the electronics and/or computer industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in supply chain software and tools, including Infor Syteline (required), SAP, Oracle, and Power BI.
- Proven track record of successful cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
