Pay: Starting at $30/hour for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs); higher rates based on licensure and experience.
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a temporary basis to provide coverage for a school-based nurse who will be on leave. Responsibilities:
Provide general school nursing services, including health assessments, first aid, and emergency care as needed.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare provider orders and school policies.
Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
Monitor students with chronic conditions and provide ongoing care and support.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Educate students and staff about health-related topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, and illness prevention.
Respond to health emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
Assist in health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.), if required.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding school health services.
Qualifications:
Current and valid nursing license as an LPN or RN in the state of New Hampshire.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Prior experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to school settings.
Work Schedule:
This temporary position will cover the duration of the leave, beginning on February 13, 2025, and ending on April 4, 2025. The work hours will align with the schools operational hours, typically Monday through Friday.
