As a Travel Nurse RN in the Emergency Department, you will provide critical care to patients in high-pressure situations, utilizing expertise gained from over two years of experience in ED. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and technicians, handling cases that require advanced procedures while maintaining a patient ratio of 4:1. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS are essential for success in this role with shifts primarily on weekends.

  • The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.
  • Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient ratios, and other unique details to assist recruiting professionals in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have no less than 2 years of current ED experience
  • Must pass EKG exam
    Schedule Information
  • Target Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift times: 7 p - 7:30 a
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: no call
    Unit Specific Information
  • Patient Ratios – 4:1 occasional 5:1 when critical comes in to trauma room
  • Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, 3 PCT (CNA), 2 sitters; Night Shift - 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, 3 PCT (CNA), 2 sitters
  • Typical procedures performed on unit(s): Chest tubes, Central line/Art Line placement, Sedation, Rapid infusion, Wound care, Target temp management, EKG
