Summary:

The System VP of H&V Physician Services provides strategic leadership to the H&V service line at the system level in partnership with the system administrative lead as part of a dyad. The system service line leader will be responsible for: strategy development and local entity strategy support, service line growth planning, strategic coordination of MD hiring, program prioritization, technology assessment, opportunity development, coordination of system marketing efforts, market share data assessment and new market development, assessment of local entity performance against annual goals. This role will focus on ensuring exceptional administrative efficiency, financial performance, regulatory compliance, patient-centered processes, and continuous quality improvement across the H&V care continuum. This leader ensures strict adherence to established policies and procedures, ensuring the entity’s conduct aligns with the highest standards dictated by applicable laws, regulations, sound business practices, and our Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities:

Develop a long-term vision for the H&V program that aligns the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with entity clinical and operational leaders to develop this vision and anticipate and respond to evolving trends in H&V care. Support local entities in aspects of H&V care delivery across the service line, including (but not limited to) seamless patient flow, care models, resource utilization, and performance goal achievement.

Develop the H&V program's system budget, analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving efficiencies, and implement revenue growth strategies. Leverage data analytics to track key performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions to optimize operational efficiency, expand market share, and improve clinical outcomes. Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding H&V services, including new service lines, clinical research initiatives, community partnerships, and strategic affiliations. Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and processes to streamline operations, enhance patient experience, and improve data management within the H&V program. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and patient-centered care. Oversee the physician operations of the H&V service line, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care delivery. Develop and implement clinical programs and protocols for various H&V diseases and procedures, staying current with best practices and innovative treatment approaches. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to H&V care. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements for H&V services.

Build strong relationships with our H&V physicians, serving as trusted advisors and advocating for their needs. Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent in H&V. Foster a collaborative and collegial work environment within the H&V department. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for our H&V physicians. Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to optimize reimbursement for H&V services.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • MD with board certification in a relevant H&V specialty.

Professional Experience Requirements:

  • Requires 12 years of progressively responsible experience, including 10 years of management experience with a focus on H&V

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of H&V principles, treatment modalities, and best practices.
  • Understanding of the complexities of healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement models, and regulatory environment impacting H&V care.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve clinical and operational goals for the H&V service line.
  • Communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, patients, administrators, and boards.
  • Making sound decisions based on clinical expertise, data analysis, and business acumen.
  • Developing innovative approaches to improve the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of H&V services.
