Medix Infusion is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Specialist (Intake) to join our team. In this multi-faceted role, you will play a critical part in managing intake requests, supporting patient retention efforts, coordinating insurance verification, scheduling treatments, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about enhancing the patient experience.
This is an onsite role at our corporate office, open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. You'll be part of a supportive, close-knit team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that is deeply focused on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies, specializing in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient's journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage intake requests, including processing electronic referrals, creating patient records, and ensuring insurance verification. Respond to faxed and electronic documents, routing them efficiently to the appropriate teams.
- Coordinate patient scheduling for home and in-suite therapies, ensuring accurate and timely appointment confirmations. Assist patients with rescheduling and answer inquiries about treatment availability.
- Support patient retention by building positive relationships with patients and their caregivers, providing timely follow-ups, and addressing any concerns or barriers to continued care.
- Answer and route phone calls professionally, responding to patient inquiries and concerns promptly. Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive experience for both patients and healthcare providers.
- Scan, upload, and organize patient documents, maintaining strict confidentiality. Ensure patient records are accurate, timely, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, supporting intake, scheduling, and/or insurance coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive patient experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
