Senior Mechanical/Aerospace Test Engineer

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking Senior Mechanical Test Engineers to join our team in Kent, WA. This role requires hands-on experience with testing high-pressure systems, writing and running tests, and training technicians. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in aerospace or related industries and possess a strong production mindset focused on scaling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing on high-pressure systems, including hydraulics, valves, pneumatics, and cryogenics.
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Train technicians on testing procedures and methodologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to scale production operations to meet manufacturing goals.
- Utilize and operate testing software such as National Instruments, Dewesoft, Arduino, LabVIEW, or Test Stand.
Qualifications:
Required:
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in component testing and data analysis.
- Exposure to high-pressure gas, cryogenic, actuated, or hydraulic systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple project schedules simultaneously.
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, green card holder, refugee, or granted asylum).
Preferred:
- Industry experience in launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, motorsports, or oil & gas.
- Familiarity with fluid components like valves, actuators, and regulators.
- Experience with sensors, instrumentation, data acquisition, and automation.
- Knowledge of thermal and vibration testing, as well as designing test fixtures and tooling.
