Machinist / Production Operative – $22.00- $28.00 Per Hour – Kenilworth, NJ

The Role

Do you have a keen eye for detail and experience working in a manufacturing setting? If so, we are looking for you!

We are seeking a Machinist / Production Operative to join our team at Boneham Metal Products. In this role, you will play a vital part in the accurate and timely manufacture of precision drill bushings, ensuring our customers receive the high-quality products they expect.

As a Machinist / Production Operative, you will:

• Operate lathes, manual grinders, honing machines, and thru-hardening furnaces to manufacture precision components.
• Maintain and monitor machinery to ensure proper functionality using daily checklists.
• Set up and operate machinery with a thorough understanding of each machine (training provided).
• Conduct in-process quality checks in line with stage inspection criteria.
• Monitor and replenish tooling, raw materials, and consumables.
• Record setup and run times for accurate costing and continuous improvement.
• Highlight and address deviations or discrepancies in work instructions with the Operations Manager.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace to ensure operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior machinists and contribute to their development.
