Description:
In this role, the Technical Specialist- Lab Core will is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. This includes waived, moderate and high complexity testing. Overseeing ELP, UA, as well as various other areas.

  • Area: Core Laboratory- Urinalysis (UA) and Electrophoresis (ELP) ,
  • Brand NEW Clinical Laboratory - Features daylight access, in an open concept lab space**

About this position
In this role, the Technical Specialist- Lab Core will is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. This includes waived, moderate and high complexity testing. * *Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a "clinical" laboratory setting through education or work experience required** Overseeing Urinalysis (UA) and Electrophoresis (ELP) , as well as various other areas.
What you'll need
  • Collaborates with the medical director, manager and faculty in the development of new procedures or programs. Evaluates, validates and implements new instrumentation and procedures. Develops written procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and support new instrumentation and test methodologies. Works with the director to review and revise procedure manuals to ensure test accuracy and regulatory and accreditation requirements. Communicates changes in policies and procedures to appropriate medical center staff and/or clients.
Here's what you'll need
Required:
  • Associate or bachelor's Degree- Medical Laboratory Science Program
  • Specific Degree(s): Medical Technology/Technician or Medical Laboratory Science
Licensure/Certifications
Required:
  • Certified Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, laboratory discipline specific or specialty certificate (ASCP or AMT)
  • 3-5 years of Core-UA and ELP or job-related experience
Preferred:
  • Other: Meets CLIA requirements for a general supervisor (B.S. degree and 1 year clinical experience, or MS degree and 1 years clinical experience)

Pay Range: $33.00 - $48.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
