Job Title : R/S Consulting EngineerLocation : Aberdeen, MD (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)Start Date : January 9Job Duration : 12 months+Overview :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Routing and Switching (R/S) Consulting Engineer to support a key initiative with the U.S. Army. This role involves working on a large-scale, high-impact project requiring expertise in networking, SD-WAN, and data center technologies. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, a consultative mindset, and an active DoD Secret Clearance.Responsibilities :Analyze and diagnose highly complex networking issues.Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve issues and ensure compatibility.Collaborate with virtual teams and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.Provide systems and product knowledge transfers as needed.Generate standard project documentation, including test plans and low-level designs.Execute project delivery, including network staging, implementation, and handover.Support network upgrade and migration activities.Assist customers with deploying medium-complexity tools and network management systems.Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients.Perform technical troubleshooting, serve as a specialist for complex deployments, and provide top-level crisis management.Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders, including senior management.Required Qualifications :6-8 years of experience in network design, deployment, and maintenance.Strong expertise in SD-WAN, Routing and Switching (R/S), and data center networking in large-scale environments.CCNP certification or equivalent experience.Active DoD Secret Clearance.Proven ability to adapt to diverse customer needs and engage in client-facing roles.TSG is an equal opportunity employer.
