Analysis Group relies heavily on substantive, high-quality content as an integral part of its marketing and development strategy. The Writer is a core Editorial Team member in the firms Marketing & Business Development Department, with responsibility for developing and contributing to a wide range of corporate and practice area content, including thought leadership pieces, marketing collateral, web content, publications, and proposals. Topics span subjects such as economic issues in health care, finance, and energy; intellectual property; antitrust; technology and data science; and damages associated with litigation. The Writer will be expected to develop a concentration in specific practice areas.

The Writer works with a variety of collaborators and stakeholders including consultants, affiliated experts, and other Marketing Department and administrative staff to generate original content, refine existing content, and execute on other firm writing needs.

Essential job functions and responsibilities:

  • Content development, writing, and substantive editing for short- and long-form marketing content
  • Idea generation for content in a particular subject matter area
  • Project lead for short-term assignments and selected longer-term projects, including coordinating with other Marketing & Business Development teams and with consultants as needed
  • Assistance with proofreading and copyediting a wide range of Analysis Group written collateral

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of business writing experience required. Strong writing and editing skills required and writing samples required
  • An ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of substantive relevant experience
  • Prior B2B experience and prior experience in a professional services industry highly preferred
  • Meticulous attention to grammar and accuracy; highly detail-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and comfort level with very high quality standards and academic orientation; adaptive self-learner; ability to think logically and deal with complex, often technical material
  • Ability to develop content that is fact-based, accessible and compelling
  • Maturity and diplomacy in interacting with colleagues in the Marketing & Business Development Group, as well as with consultants (including senior staff and affiliated experts, as needed) whose primary responsibilities are to clients
