Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse RN A nursing home is seeking a talented and hardworking Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse RN to join our ever-growing team.
Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Job Description: - Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classes
- Develop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement efforts
- Coordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needs
- Oversee the process for competency evaluation of new employees
- Recommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employees
- Work closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files.
- Serves as designated associate responsible for monitoring Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC
- Serves as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response activities, in accordance with current CDC recommendations
- Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Requirements/Qualifications: - Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse's license in the State of Florida
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgments.
- Prior Staff Development/Education experience Preferred.
- Point Click care preferred
Salary Range: Based on education and experience
