Come work with a great team! Signet Health manages the Behavioral Health Services for MedStar Washington Hospital Center and is looking for a PRN/Part Time Nurse Practitioner. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work weekends and holidays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 16 hours per week.Major Duties and Essential Functions:Apply evidence-based practices and best practices critical time intervention and trauma informed care.Perform professional work that requires specialized to general knowledge of fields of advanced practice nursing, and a solid understanding, use, and application of concepts, theories, principles, practices, terminology, and applied bases of area of specialization, specifically psychiatry mental health, and addictions.Develop a nursing assessment tool to reflect the holistic needs of each client with consideration of his/her psychological, physiological, social, ethnic, cultural, educational, and spiritual strengths and needs.Oversee the direct implementation of nursing care to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with the plan of nursing intervention and overall treatment/service plan and to ascertain if the needs of the client require modification of the plan.Participate in team meetings and provide nursing input on the development and implementation of treatment/service plans.Provide quality and timely clinical documentation, per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements.Participate in agency-wide training programs and in-services.Coordinate nursing care activities with other professional disciplines to ensure that the nursing plan is consistent with and integrated with the total treatment/service plan.Develop and implement those policies and procedures relating to medication management.Perform medication reconciliation, using technology as available.Provide health education/teaching for clients and their families.Other duties as assigned.Requirements/QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) (formerly NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).Must have active DC NP license or be eligible for endorsement.Must have Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).Salary Range:Minimum: $80.00/hourMaximum: $98.00/hourEOE#J-18808-Ljbffr
