Job Title: RN Oncology
Job Specialty: Surgical - Head and Neck

Shift: Days 5x8 Hr
Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience
License: Current RN License in accordance with state regulations
Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
Must-Have:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and evaluation skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Basic computer skills
Job Description:
- Provide nursing care in a hospital environment to patients with varying health problems.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Obtain and monitor patients' physiological data, intervening when necessary.
- Administer medication and manage intravenous infusions and blood products as prescribed.
- Deliver competent patient care and educate patients and families about hospital procedures and care plans.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a board-approved program
