Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join our team at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients undergoing rehabilitation for a variety of conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at maximizing patient recovery and independence.
Responsibilities include: - Conduct daily rounds to assess and manage the medical needs of patients in the rehabilitation center.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide medical consultations and interventions for acute and chronic conditions as they arise during the rehabilitation process.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to inpatient rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in rehabilitation medicine.

Qualifications: - MD/DO degree from accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of which being employed
- Proficiency with EMR
