- Works with individuals with acquired brain injuries using various educational and rehabilitation activities to improve communication and cognitive functioning.
- Conducts individual and group speech and language therapy sessions.
- Selects/administers assessment and evaluation instruments to determine service recipients' capabilities and barriers in receptive and expressive language, voice, cognition, articulation, communication, and swallowing.
- Prepares findings, diagnostic impressions, diagnosis, and recommendations.
- Presents written and verbal information to team members, service recipients, family members, payors, and other stakeholders in an understandable and helpful manner.
- Designs and implements individualized person-centered therapeutic rehabilitation programs to help overcome barriers and enhance independence and quality of life.
Required Qualifications: - Licensed to practice Speech Pathology in the State of Maine
- A Valid driver's license
- A Criminal background check that meets Agency standards
Preferred Qualifications: - One year experience in speech pathology
- Experience or certified in VitalStim Swallowing Therapy
- Experience in neurological rehabilitation
