Overview:
Beebe Healthcare is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to provide comprehensive healthcare services to adolescent students within a high school wellness center. The APC will work collaboratively with school staff, administrators, and other healthcare providers to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to adolescent students, including but not limited to:
- Physical examinations and health screenings
- Treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
- Immunizations
- Chronic disease management
- Reproductive health care
- Mental health assessments and referrals
- Develop and implement health education programs for students and staff.
- Collaborate with school nurses, counselors, and administrators to address student health needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide on-call coverage as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies or field equivalent
- National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP ), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP ), or Physician Assistant (PA )
Licensure
- Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure (for NP candidates)
- Active Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure with prescriptive authority (for NP candidates)
- Active Delaware Physician Assistant Licensure (for PA candidates)
- Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) if practicing in Delaware
- Federal DEA registration with Office Address
Experience and Skills
- Three years of related pediatric clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements
- Current BLS and AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification
- Ability to obtain Beebe Healthcare credentialing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in school-based healthcare.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
