Overview:

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to provide comprehensive healthcare services to adolescent students within a high school wellness center. The APC will work collaboratively with school staff, administrators, and other healthcare providers to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary care services to adolescent students, including but not limited to:
    • Physical examinations and health screenings
    • Treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
    • Immunizations
    • Chronic disease management
    • Reproductive health care
    • Mental health assessments and referrals
  • Develop and implement health education programs for students and staff.
  • Collaborate with school nurses, counselors, and administrators to address student health needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies or field equivalent
  • National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP ), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP ), or Physician Assistant (PA )

Licensure

  • Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure (for NP candidates)
  • Active Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure with prescriptive authority (for NP candidates)
  • Active Delaware Physician Assistant Licensure (for PA candidates)
  • Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) if practicing in Delaware
  • Federal DEA registration with Office Address

Experience and Skills

  • Three years of related pediatric clinical experience
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

  • Current BLS and AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification
  • Ability to obtain Beebe Healthcare credentialing

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in school-based healthcare.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
