The Speech and Language Pathologist provides services to students, staff and families that improve and develop the use of speech and language for eligible students with disabilities.
Available: One (1) full-time position; 35 hours per week/186 day per year program (Balanced calendar)
Salary: Certificated Salary Schedule. Genesee Intermediate Education Association.
Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law. Employees working more than one-half (1/2) time but less than full time shall receive fringe benefits in relation to time worked.
Qualifications: Education: Master's degree required in speech and language pathology or a valid Michigan teacher's certificate with full approval in the speech and language impaired required. A valid Speech-Language Pathologist license from the State of Michigan or Educational Limited License with application of full SLP license upon completion of CFY. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Experience:
Previous experience with students with severe handicaps and augmentative communication systems and devices preferred.
