Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Specialty: Outpatient/Inpatient - Respiratory Therapy
Job Duration: Full-time position
Shift: Day Shift, 8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: At least 30 hours/week up to 40
Experience: Minimum of two years preferred, new grads welcome
License: Must hold a current and valid Occupational Therapy practice license from the relevant state office of allied health professions
Certifications: BLS certification required or must be scheduled within six months of hire
Must-Have:
- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid driver's license
Job Description:
- Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic, neurological, general, and complex medical conditions in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Conduct evaluations and treatments based on functional outcomes.
- Utilize Activities of Daily Living skills, therapeutic activities and exercises, manual techniques, and therapeutic modalities.
- Outpatient practice includes conditions such as cardiopulmonary (COPD, CHF) and neurological (s/p CVA, TBI).
- Upper extremity rehabilitation for conditions such as rotator cuff repairs and total shoulder arthroplasty.
- Development of specialty practice areas is encouraged.
- Experience in treating vertigo and BPPV patients is beneficial.
- Conduct outpatient home safety and wheelchair evaluations.
- Occasional weekend coverage is required, with inpatient only every sixth weekend.
