Overview:
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Project Manager in Mundelein, IL. This is a Contract-to-hire opportunity that is Hybrid and offers outstanding benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the execution of IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet specified quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and vendors, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.
- Monitor project budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet organizational quality standards and comply with industry best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, meeting minutes, and post-project evaluations.
- Continuously assess project management processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulatory, security, and organizational requirements, while providing accurate reporting on project status to leadership.
- This is a hybrid-eligible position and requires up to 20% domestic travel.

USD $50.00/Hr.
Max:
USD $60.00/Hr.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully leading large-scale IT projects. Experience in the manufacturing or automotive industry is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Monday.com) and familiarity with IT systems, networking, and infrastructure.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as hybrid approaches to project management.
- Ability to lead and inspire project teams, providing direction and motivation to achieve project goals.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in managing project budgets and delivering cost-effective solutions.
