Athene Nursing & Rehabilitation is a busy 282 bed skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility with a compassionate and dedicated nursing team and a fun, high energy in-house therapy team. We see a wide variety of cognitive, dietary and neurological diagnoses and both short term rehab patients as well as long term care residents. We are a newly formed healthcare company whose goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities we serve.
We are looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated staff. We seek an SLP who is a self-motivated healthcare professional with a passion for thinking out of the box, developing patient center clinical progamming, and providing outstanding care to meet the diverse needs of our patients. Requirements of the job:

• Valid state license
• Completion of accredited therapy program
• Some experience in a skilled nursing setting is a plus but we welcome therapists with all levels of experience to apply.

Required Essential Skills:

• Interpersonal Skills - to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
• Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, push/pulling, and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
• Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, and customers, and meet deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail.
• Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate
