Overview:
The Middleware Systems Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, documenting, and supporting middleware systems and operations in order to provide maximum performance and availability to users. Provides expert level technical project support for Middleware supported systems or networks by performing engineering, automation, administrative/monitoring tasks. This includes installation, configuration of environments, managing patches, upgrades, and optimization of Middleware systems. Documents and manages changes to new and existing systems. Contributes to the development and continuous review of appropriate practices, standards, and guidelines. Collaborates and works closely with other technical teams including Interoperability, Infrastructure, Clinical, ERP, and Revenue Cycle.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree is required
- Six years IT related experience in computer and network support is required.
- Strong analytical abilities. Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office required. Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials and windows operating systems. Strong analytical abilities. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
