Job Description

EXPERIENCE: Qualified Behavior Modification Professional" means

· a person with a minimum two  (2) years  of experience in designing, supervising, and implementing behavior modification services as one of the following:

(A)  An Assistant Behavior Analyst certified by the National Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst;

(B)  A Behavior Analyst certified by the National Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Certified Behavior Analyst;

(C)  A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, pursuant to Sections 4996- 4998.5 of the Business and Professions Code;

(D)  A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, pursuant to Sections 4980- 4984.7 of the Business and Professions Code;

(E)  A psychologist licensed by the California Board of Psychology or

(F)  A professional with California licensure, which permits the design of behavior modification intervention services.

General Job Responsibilities:

  • Must have  availability to conduct in-person observation, supervision, and training for staff and residents
  • Teach communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills through Applied Behavioral Analysis principles
  • Accurately record treatment data
  • Designs and supervises individualized ABA programs
  • Regularly analyzes session data and reviews session documentation
  • Updates skills acquisition and behavior reduction programs to ensure that they reflect each client’s development and progress towards identified goals
  • Assists in conducting initial assessments, ongoing assessments, and other necessary assessments
  • Follows the direction of the Supervisor, Clinical Supervisors, and Director
  • Tracks direct and indirect client sessions to ensure that services are provided to the full extent of the authorization for each client
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all tasks that meet the requirement of regulatory agencies and is HIPAA compliant
  • Provides ongoing performance feedback to Behavior Interventionists related to their strengths and areas of improvement
  • Works with Behavior Interventionists and Program Supervisors to set goals for professional development
  • Leads training
  • Participates in meetings involving the client
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work and therapeutic environment
  • Abides by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
  • Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to HIPAA, and follow BACB Code of Ethics

Requirements:

  • Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Maintain certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skill, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organization skills and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionally, and with minimal direction
  • Ability to Maintain Professional Boundaries
