We are seeking an Event Operations Manager to cover for our current Operations Manager during maternity leave (3-5 months). This remote role requires a self-starter with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, capable of thriving in a dynamic, start-up environment. You’ll manage the logistics and operations of our exclusive global member and sales events, primarily across the US and Europe, creating exceptional experiences in renowned wine regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and execution of global events, managing budgets and deadlines.
• Build relationships with vendors, venues, and industry contacts to craft high-quality events.
• Ensure compliance with legal, insurance, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage on-site event preparations, production, and breakdown to ensure seamless execution.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including senior executives and partners.

Daily and Monthly Tasks

• Lead logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, entertainment, and decor.
• Conduct site visits, pre-event meetings, and troubleshoot challenges during events.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of vendors, venues, and industry contacts.
• Establish and implement operational procedures for future events.

• Experienced in event operations, with a proven ability to manage complex logistics and high-profile events.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment, with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with strong organizational skills.
• Multilingual, with the ability to communicate effectively with a global clientele.
• Thrives in environments requiring adaptability and resourcefulness.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in event operations or event management.
• Previous experience working in luxury hospitality, wine, or travel industries.
• Proficiency in event management software and project management tools.
• Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed for events.
