Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in designing, optimizing, and managing process systems, with a preference for experience in utility systems such as cooling water, air, and boilers. Knowledge of slurry processes is a bonus, adding value to this role in specialized applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize utility systems , including cooling water , compressed air , and boiler systems .
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts.
- Conduct process evaluations to improve system efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate utility systems into broader project designs.
- Specify and procure process equipment, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to utility systems and other processes.
- Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up of process systems.
- Perform system audits and propose upgrades or modifications to improve performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including design calculations, technical reports, and compliance records.
- If applicable, design and manage processes involving slurries , optimizing flow, mixing, and handling solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-15 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on utility systems.
- Strong understanding of utility systems such as cooling water , compressed air , and boilers .
- Proficiency in process design tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with slurries (a liquid with solid in it) , including handling, flow, and mixing processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to utility systems and process engineering.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning and troubleshooting utility or slurry systems.
